PHENOMENAL RESULTS FOR U-TURN TRACK ATHLETES

The following is a testimony from track & field coach Gene Scott of the Central Virginia Track and Field Club, an AAU Track Program to U-TURN’S Director of Sport Science, Eric Meyer, regarding the success his athletes achieved after training at U-TURN in preparation for the high school track season.

HI ERIC!
Just wanted to provide you with a brief note to update you on how valuable the U-TURN Sports Science Program (ply-o-metrics and weight training) has been to members of our track team. One of the young ladies that participated in the program from September '04 to January '05 was Rachel Lewis. She is currently a senior at Meadowbrook High School and is now one of the top long jumpers (19'3") and triple jumpers (39'6") in the nation.

She is one of the top athletes in contention to win the AAA state meet in both events. Prior to her training with U-TURN she was a 17' long jumper and a 37' triple jumper. If she wins the state, she indicated that she will make a point to note how valuable the U-TURN training was to her success. Also, Jasia Richardson (8th grader), has the nations best triple jump (35' 5") and is fifth in the nation in the long jump (16' 7").

Finally, Antonio Miller (9th grader at Manchester High School) is one of the top triple jumpers in the Richmond Region and the state at 43' 9".

All thanks to U-TURN. I've had a lot of coaches and athletes ask me what contributed to the dramatic improvement in performances; my response is U-TURN and the Sports Science ply-o-metric and weight training. I'm already looking forward to the program in the fall! Based on these results, more kids will want to train in the fall.

At States, Rachel Lewis took 1st place in the triple jump by nearly two feet with a mark 39’ 6”. she eagerly wants to train this summer at U-TURN to get prepared for college (she received a full track scholarship to Hampton University).
